After a brilliant showing last night, this second of two nights had quite a lot to live up to. The night began with Big Muddy and Raven Black night, followed by the favorite, Ballerina. Again, the night was filled with great songs, brilliantly delivered and sung to perfection. Hide Your Love Away and Loser were some early set favorites and If Heartaches Were Nickels was a first time performance. After a stunning In My Life, Radiohead's Lucky was played a beautifully as it ever has been. The end of the set brought a first time solo performance of Old Before My Time, a glorious Love's Open Door and a long and dazzling Fallen Down. Returning to the stage for the encore, Warren was joined onstage by a few couch and stool-sitting onlookers. Consisting of his crew, his wife Stef and the club's owner, Michael, we were treated to a view of the crowd as Warren belted out his own lyrics to James Taylors' That's Why I'm Here-> Tastes Like Wine. Still sitting on stage, we witnessed a touching moment between artist and crowd during the encore-ending I Shall Be Released. Due to the overwhelming cheers and appreciation, Warren quickly returned to the stage and proceeded to deliver a second encore. This time he was alone on stage and he handed out a hot The Sky Is Crying and a wonderful I'll Be The One to close out our visit to Colorado.

The first of two sold out solo performance shows by Warren Haynes at the legendary and friendly Belly Up began with the unfortunately apropos Raining Pain Down In New Orleans. Warren regaled us all with an evening of music that was sometimes beautiful, sometimes sad, funny or just rockin'. And tonight's collection was a joy to behold. Everyone will have their own favorites and highlights, but For My Lover, Real Thing and Shelter would have to be on every list. He ended the set with a tear producing Stella Blue and Change Is Gonna Come to the cheers of all the crowd, staff and crew in the room. Returning to the stage, Warren delivered an encore in three parts: Endless Parade, Into The Mystic and Soulshine sated all, but all was not played yet. Returning for a second encore, End Of The Line returned to the repertoire to the delight of all. See you tomorrow night.

Warren Haynes and Gregg Allman Acoustic Red Rocks Amphitheater Aspen, CO 09.02.06
Once in a lifetime! Pre-Mule set, those in attendance at Red Rocks tonight were treated to an unbelievable set of acoustic music from Gregg Allman and Warren Haynes. “Rare” does not aptly describe this night, nor does brilliant, moving, soulful; or any other adjective one can conjure. Midnight Rider was the first dish served and was followed by Come & Go Blues. Old Before My Time and Come On In To My Kitchen both raised the hair on the back of my neck as well as many others' too. Beautiful in its simplicity and stirring in its power, this set is truly one of the highlights of both Messrs. Haynes' and Allman's career.

On June 15 2003, Warren Haynes performed solo acoustic in front of tens of thousands of people on the Main Stage at the Bonnaroo Music Festival. Alone onstage, with just a guitar and his voice, he captivated the crowd with a mix of both his original songs such as "Beautifully Broken", "Soulshine" & "Patchwork Quilt" and well-chosen covers such as "Lucky" (Radiohead), "Stella Blue" (Grateful Dead) and "Wasted Time" (The Eagles).
"Live at Bonnaroo" contains Warren's complete set from that magical day in Tennessee.
